Preparing Network Services for the Pandemic

Responsible institutions have disaster plans to keep mission-critical operations functioning in the event of a disaster. A global pandemic is expected at some point even though no one knows when it will strike and how severe it will be. Federal recommendations tell schools to expect to be closed for up to four months in a mandatory quarantine scenario. Responsible schools in the far east, middle east have plans to continue school online during extended closings. Southern U.S. states like Louisiana have been working on this model ever since Hurricane Katrina.
